(61) ENGLISH SCHOOLS COMBINED EVENTS CHAMPIONSHIPS, BEDFORD, 19/20 SEPTEMBER 2015
Congratulations to Pippa Earley (Kingston AC & Polytechnic H) who set a Surrey County Under-15 record when winning the Junior Girls Pentathlon with a score of 3462pts. This beat the previous record of 3348pts set by Shirin Irving (Croydon H) in 2011.
(66) ENGLAND ATHLETICS LONDON REGION 2015 VOLUNTEER AWARDS
We congratulate Bridget Yule and Phillip Kissi on their awards as Volunteer of the Year and Coach of the Year respectively.
Bridget became involved with the sport, as many parents do, following her son joining Herne Hill Harriers where she became their Young Athletes Team Manager. Subsequently she took on the role of Administrator with the Lonon Schools AA. Many of our athletes who attend schools in Lambeth, Southwark and Wandsworth will have noted her involvement with London schools teams and championships.
Phillip also became involved through his son but moved into coaching where he has achieved much success. He coaches athletes with a wide range of abilities including Katy-Ann McDonald
(67) SURREY U13/U15 SPORTSHALL, SPECTRUM, GUILDFORD, 22ND NOVEMBER 2015
The Surrey Sports Awards for 2015 were presented on 2nd December 2015.
The winner of the Young Sports Personality of the Year Award was Sophie Mace of Walton AC. She was the top ranked U17 women's discus thrower in the UK, last year, having won the English Schools, England U20, South of England U17 and Surrey County Championships. She was also ranked third in the hammer and fourth in the shot for her age group.
The winner of the Sports Personality of the Year Award was Lily Partridge of Aldershot, Farnham & District AC. In 2015 Lily won the CAU Inter-County and the National Cross-Country titles. She also represented Great Britain on the track in the European Team Championhsips.

We congratulate Donna following the announcement that she will become the Vice President of UK Athletics at their AGM on 4 December 2015.
It is with regret that we have to report that Ken died on 8th December 2015. He was elected president of the County Association in 2010 having previously been Treasurer. Ken's passion was Cross-Country and he held senior positions in the English Cross-Country Association, South of Thames Cross-Country Association and the East Surrey League. He was also the key person for many years in the cross-country activities of his club, Croydon Harriers.
(71) SEAA INTER-COUNTY CROSS-COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS, SHUTTLEWORTH PARK, BIGGLESWADE, 12TH DECEMBER 2015
UNDER-15 GIRLS, UNDER-13 BOYS & SENIOR WOMEN TEAMS ALL CAME FIRST. UNDER-15 BOYS TEAM WAS SECOND.
Harley Norman (E&E) won the U13 Boys race. Steph McCall (SLH) finished 2nd in the SW race and was the first U23 finisher.
Claudia Lance Jones (G&G) in the U15G and Max Heyden (AFD) in the U15B were both 3rd.
