Competing in the London Inter-Club Challenge held at Copthall on 28th June 2014 Sakia Millard (Herne Hill) set a time of 2:08.21 for 800m. As this was set in a mixed gender race it can not be a County record. However we show it in the lists with an mx suffix as it is faster than the existing record of 2:10.99.

- The following Surrey athletes set County records:- Tyrese Johnson (Croydon) Under-15 Boys 100m 10.91/+0.7 beat previous record of 11.0 jointly held by Dijon Archer (Herne Hill) in 2006; Ehi Oboite (Croydon) in 2006 & Zanson Plummer (Herne Hill) in 2011. Joseph Massimo (Crawley) Under-15 Boys 300m 35.21 beat previous record of 36.17 which he set at Surrey Schools in June 2014. Imani Lansiquot (Sutton & District) Under-17 Women 100m 11.67/-1.1 beat the previous record of 11.70/-1.3 set by Jocelyn Hopeson (Archbishop Tenison) in 2004. Joey Watson (Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow) Under-20 Men Shot Putt (6kg) 17.45m beat the previous record of 17.43m which he set in June 2014.
Competing in the Southern Athletics League fixture held at Aldershot on 12 July 2014 Laura Gent (Aldershot, Farnham & District) set a new Under-20 record for the 2000m steeplechase with a time of 7:16.0. This beat the previous record of 7:24.9 set by Sarah-Jane Pickett in 2001.

MORGAN LAKE WINS HEPTATHLON & HIGH JUMP
Morgan Lake (Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow) cleared 1.94m in the Heptathlon High Jump - a new National Junior & Surrey County Junior record & equals the County Senior record and best ever by a Junior in a heptathlon competition. She also set PBs in the Javelin (41.66m) and 800m (2:21.06). Her total score of 6148 points is a World Youth (U18) best. and a Surrey U20 & Senior record.
In Sunday's High Jump Final Morgan cleared 1.93m on her second attempt to win.
SHONA RICHARDS SECOND IN 400M HURDLES & 4x400M RELAY
Shona Richards (Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow) set a UK Junior record of 56.16 when she won the silver medal in 400m Hurdles final on Saturday. Shona ran the first leg in the 4x400m where the British team finished second.

8 Surrey athletes were included in the England team announced on 16th June:- 100m & 4x100m - Harry Aikines-Aryeetey (Sutton & District); 400m & 4x400m - Martyn Rooney (Croydon); 1500m T54 David Weir (WAA); 5000m Emelia Gorecka (Aldershot, Farnham & District); Marathon Nicholas Torry (Serpentine); Discus Tom Norman (Woodford Green & Essex Ladies); Discus - Jade Lally (Shaftesbury Barnet) & Heptathlon Morgan Lake (Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow) - Morgan subsequently withdrew after being selected for the IAAF World Juniors.
Luke Caldwell (Dorking & Mole Valley) was selected to represent Scotland over 5000m & 10000m.
Marty Dent (Belgrave) was selected to represent Australia in the Marathon.
Rushane Thomas (Herne Hill) set a new Surrey U20 record for 110m Hurdles with his winning time of 13.81/+0.4. This improved the previous record of 13.94/-0.5 set by Blade Ashby (Herne Hill) in July 2012.

5 Surrey athletes were included in the Great Britain & Northern Ireland team announced on 15th July:- 100m & 4x100m - Harry Aikines-Aryeetey (Sutton & District); 100m & 4x100m - James Dasaolu (Croydon); 400m & 4x400m - Martyn Rooney (Croydon); 5000m Emelia Gorecka (Aldershot, Farnham & District) & High Jump Morgan Lake (Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow).
SURREY ATHLETES MAKE THEIR CONTRIBUTION (4G & 1B) TO ONE OF BRITAIN'S MOST SUCCESSFUL CHAMPIONSHIPS.
DAY 1: 3 Surrey athletes = 3 first places.
DAY 2: James Dasaolu wins 100m Final & Harry Aikines-Areetey finishes 3rd. James is first Surrey athlete to win a European individual outdoor title since Paul Nihill (20k Walk, Athens 1969). Surrey had 3 athletes in Semi-finals (Rooney, Aikines-Aryeetey & Dasaolu) and each came first.
DAY 4: Martyn Rooney wins 400m Final. First time since 1950 that 2 Surrey athletes have won European titles at a single outdoor championship. Then, in Brussels it was Derek Pugh (400m) and John Parlett (800m).
DAY 5: Both men's relay teams, containing Surrey athletes, won their heats to qualify for the Final.
DAY 6: Victories for both men's relay teams (Harry Aikines-Aryeetey ran 2nd leg in 4x100m and Martyn Rooney the final leg in 4x400m).
Katy-Ann McDonald (Blackheath & Bromley) set a new Surrey record for Under-15 Girls 800m of 2:06.47 whilst competing in the BMC Meeting held at Eltham on 20 August 2014. It is also a UK Age 15 Best Performance. This beat the previous County record of 2:08.34 which she set on 16 August 2014 at Crystal Palace at the South of England Championships which was an improvement of her previous record of 2:10.99 set in May 2013.

(57) SURREY UNDER-17 HAMMER RECORD
Competing in the Open Throws Meeting held at St. Mary's, Twickenham on 24 August 2014, Sophie Mace (Walton AC) improved her record (50.54m set in June this year) for the Under-17 Women 3kg Hammer with a throw of 50.60m.
(58) EA U17/U15 CHAMPIONSHIPS, BEDFORD, 30/31 AUGUST 2014
On Day 1 Surrey athletes won 3 out of 4 100m races and come 2nd in the fourth plus 1 further gold.
On Day 2 Surrey athletes won both Under-15 Hurdles finals plus 2 other golds giving a weekend total of 8 gold medals. Joseph Massimo set a Championship Best in the Under-15 Boys 200m of 22.15 which would have been a Surrey record had it not been for a following wind of 3.6 m/s.
