It is with very great sadness that we inform you of the death of Tony Childs at the age of 92 years.
Tony was one of the Founding Fathers of the current Guildford & Godalming Athletic Club, supporting and guiding its move from Bannisters Field to its present home at Guildford Spectrum. Together with his wife Hazel, he was a long-standing member of the Surrey County Committee, firstly with the Surrey County Womens AAA and then with the Surrey County AA following the merger of the two predecessor organisations. In addition to supporting GGAC as a coach and official he regularly attended County Championships as a timekeeper.
Our deepest condolences go out to Hazel and their family
