Competing at Norwich on 27th April 2014 Shona Richards (Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow) set a time of 57.91. This was an improvement on the previous record of 58.88 which she set in July 2013.
Competing at the Rosenheim League Meeting held at Kingsmeadow on 30 April 2014, Sophie Mace (Walton AC) set the inaugral Record for the Under-17 Women 3kg Hammer with a throw of 50.46m. She adds this record to her 4kg record set earlier this year.

(25) SURREY HEPTATHLON RECORD
Scoring 5896 points over two days of May 2-3 - just nine days before her 18th birthday - in her first heptathlon with senior implements, Morgan Lake of Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow set a new Surrey County record (Senior & Under-20) when competing in Florence, Italy in the Multistars meeting. Her individual performances were 100mH 14.25/+0.1; HJ 1.87m; SP 12.90m; 200m 25.04/+0.7; LJ 6.16m/+0.1; JT 36.62m; 800m 2:22.72. The previous record of 5702 points was set by Jo Rowland in 2013.
On 4th May 2014 Emelia Gorecka (Aldershot, Farnham & District) set a new record for the Senior Women 5000m. It was set when she finished 5th in the Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational held at Stanford University, California. Her time of 15:07.45 beat the previous record of 15:14.08 set by Natalie Harvey in 2004.
Competing at Loughborough on 18th May 2014 Shona Richards (Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow) set a time of 56.84. This was an improvement on the previous record of 57.91 which she set in April.
Competing in the Loughborough International Meeting on 18th May 2014, Morgan Lake of Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow set a new Surrey County Under-20 record for the High Jump with a height of 1.93m. This was also a UK Junior record. The previous record of 1.91m was set by Lea Haggett in 1991.
Competing in the Atletissima meeting held in Namur, Belgium on 28th May 2014 Shona Richards (Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow) set a time of 56.79. This was an improvement on the previous record of 56.84 which she set 10 days previously.
17-year-old Morgan Lake (Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow) became the first Surrey female to exceed 6,000 Heptathlon points when she scored 6,081 for 17th place in the IAAF Hypo Meeting at Gotzis, Austria, over the weekend of 31 May/1 June. Her previous best was also a county record - 5,896 points in Florence, Italy, in early May. Her individual performances were: 100mH 14.32/0.2; HJ 1.87m; SP 14.85m; 200m 24.59/1.4; LJ 6.03m/0.0; JT 39.74m; 800m 2:22.98. Morgan's shot putt of 14.85m was a new Under-20 record beating the previous record of 14.59m set by Dawn Grazette (Croydon H) in 1991.
Competing in the UKYDL fixture held at Carshalton on 1 June, Sophie Mace (Walton AC) improved her record (50.46m set in April this year) for the Under-17 Women 3kg Hammer with a throw of 50.54m.
On 1st June 2014 new records were set for the Senior Women, Under-20 Women and Under-17 Women 1500m Steeplechase.
Competing in the UKYDL at Carshalton, Suzannah Monk (Guildford & Godalming) set a new Senior/U20 mark of 5:09.2. This improved the previous record of 5:14.32 set by Ruth Haynes in April 2012.
Competing in the UKYDL at Bromley, Kathryn Ditton (Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow) set a new U17 mark of 5:14.31. This improved the previous record of 5:15.58 set by Phoebe Law in September 2013.
(36) SURREY SCHOOLS TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS, KINGSMEADOW, 14 JUNE 2014
Competing at this meeting Joey Watson (WSEH) set a new Under-20 Record for the 6kg Shot with a throw of 17.43m. This improved the previous record of 17.31m he set in March.
Joseph Massimo (Crawley AC) set a new county record of 36.17 for the Under-15 Boys 300m improving the previous record of 36.24 which he set in May.
(37) EA U23/U20 CHAMPIONSHIPS, BEDFORD, 21/22 JUNE 2014
The 400m Hurdles was the top event for Surrey as county athletes won 3 of the 4 age groups (U20W Shona Richards, U23M Blade Ashby & U20M Jacob Paul) and was second in the 4th (U23W Aisha Naibe-Wey).
