(6) SURREY COUNTY AAA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING, 11TH FEBRUARY 1954.
The meeting was held at Rutlish School with 37 attendees signing the attendance list. Mr R W L Thrasher was elected as President.
The following officers were elected: Mr C Dale (Hon Gen Secretary), Mr W F Fairhead (Hon Treasurer), Mr A T Liffen (Assistant Hon Secretary), Mr J Evans (Hon Champs Secretary - Cross-Country), Mr T Rowe (Hon Champs Secretary - Track & Field) and Mr J Coleman (Hon Champs Secretary - Road Walking). The Annual Accounts as at 31st December 1953 showed net assets of £174 1s 9d.
(7) SURREY 10 MILES ROAD WALK CHAMPIONSHIP, KINGSTON, 20TH FEBRUARY 1954
(17) CAU INTER-COUNTY TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS, WHITE CITY LONDON, 5TH / 7TH JUNE 1954.
With a score of 84 points and second-place Middlesex scoring 67 points Surrey were the clear winners. Surrey had 4 individual winners with Ken Wilmshurst (Walton AC) in the Triple Jump and Dennis Tucker (HHH) setting Meeting Records.
